Unexpected airport layovers suck. But, increasingly, airports are doing the little things to better cater to travelers. They're adding restaurant and coffee choices, better retail, massages, wifi and other amenities.
Yet, as I said, getting stuck at airports isn't fun. And with holiday travel right upon us, it's probably inevitable. But, should you want to make your next airport layover fun, it may be interesting to know that Milwaukee's Mitchell International Airport is No. 4 on MissTravel.com's new list of "Best Airports To Get Stuck In."
My guess? Beer and brats had something to do with it. MKE, though, is a very clean and friendly stop and if you had to hang there it's pretty good as medium-sized airports go.
