It may be a little dreary this weekend and the U.S. Navy Blue Angels aren't here, but you definitely should still get down to the lakefront for the Milwaukee Air & Water Show before it's over.

Saturday started gray and gloomy, but thousands of fans still came out and the event was quickly perked up by a fun, full slate of new and favorite performers zooming through the skies.

The lineup for the 17th Milwaukee Air & Water Show, which takes Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the lakefront, includes the U.S. Army Golden Knights and U.S. Navy SEALs Leapfrogs performing a series of highly choreographed, synchronized jumps onto Bradford Beach. Afterward are the USAF F-15E "Strike Eagles" jet, the Firebirds Xtreme Aerobatic team, the Aerostars Formation Aerobatic team and, for the first time, the U.S. Navy P-8 Poseidon Maritime Patrol Aircraft.

At 3 p.m. each day, the popular U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, known as "America’s Ambassadors in Blue," close out the show with a hard-charging demonstration of precision flying. 

Also of note, for the first time in the Milwaukee Air & Water Show’s history, a Wisconsin pilot is among the performers. Nashotah native Dylan Meunch is flying the F-15 "Strike Eagle," an all-weather, multi-role strike fighter, this weekend.

Even though the Blue Angels (and their beloved support plane, Fat Albert) aren't here, you've still gotta get out here and watch these beautiful birds fly.
