They may play on ice, but for the first two months of 2024, the Milwaukee Admirals were easily the hottest team in the state. Until their loss on Sunday, the Ads were undefeated in the new year and hadn't lost since Dec. 31, racking up a team-record 19 consecutive victories in the process. That's a lot of Ws – and here's one more: Thanks to all that winning, you've won a free beer.
Yes, victory's never tasted so good as the Admirals earned you a free round of Coors Light today to celebrate the team's streak. To claim your cold taste of victory, just stop into one of these three select locations – Major Goolsby's right across from the Ads' home at the UWM Panther Arena, Steny's in Walker's Point or Saz's at 5539 W. State St. – on Friday, March 1, and politely order your free celebratory suds. Obviously you must be 21 or older to claim your free Coors Light, and there's only one per fan.
As for the team itself, the Central-leading Admirals will try to start up a new winning streak this weekend with two games at home at UWM Panther Arena, dropping the puck tonight against the Rockford IceHogs at 7 p.m. followed by a 3 p.m. matinee on Sunday against the Iowa Wild. The two games come with some fun bonuses as well: Friday's game will feature the team in their sweet brand new Brewers City Connect hybrid jerseys (plus a three-pack of beer koozies handed out to the first 2,500 fans), while Sunday's game will feature a kids Ads jersey giveaway, players in the autograph corner and $3 from every ticket sold donated to Children's Wisconsin.

And cheers to free beer today – and hopefully even more excuses for free beer to come!
As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
