Earlier this month, Deadspin columnist Drew Magary floated out a theory in his annual Your Team Sucks on the Packers: Aaron Rodgers wanted out of Green Bay. Well, unless Rodgers is some kind of masochist, it seems that hypothesis is dead, as the two-time MVP and arguably best quarterback in the game has reportedly agreed to a four-year contract extension with the Pack. 

And as you'd expect with his resume, he's going to make a lot of cheese. 

The first reports of the new contract have Rodgers making $134 million over the next four years – including a $57.5 million signing bonus and a first year payout that will score him more than $80 million by March next year. Those numbers were first reported by NFL insider Ian Rapoport and – as a cute little bonus – James Jones, Rodgers' former teammate turned NFL Network analyst, who Rodgers promised the scoop last month. 

Even after they're done playing football, Aaron Rodgers feeds his receivers. 

Today's news helps clear out one of the grey clouds hanging over the Packers preseason, allowing Rodgers and the team to now focus on their upcoming season opener against the Chicago Bears on Sunday, Sept. 9. Let's make sure he stays upright and his collarbone stays unbroken this season, OK?
