In honor of the late and great producer Jay Dee's birthday – which was yesterday – Tarik Moody's brainchild, Unlooped vs. Dilla, released a single called "See You Cry" that gets the UvD band back together for a tasty single cut.
"See You Cry" is a live recreation and extension of Dilla's song "Don't Cry" from his legendary beat album "Donuts" that was finished while his health was failing and shortly before his death.
The cast of musicians for Unlooped vs. Dilla is:
Barry Clark (Double Bass)
Alida LaCosse (Violin)
Old Man Malcolm (DJ)
Dave Olson (producer)
Scott Radke (producer)
Allen Russell (Violin)
Peter Thomas (Cello)
Creative Direction: DeChazier Stokes-Johnson
Executive Producer: Tarik J Moody

UvD isn't stopping there though.
The crew will once again assemble for a live performance at next Wednesday's NONCLASSICAL MKE performance, which features U.K. blokes Gabriel Prokofiev, Joby Burgess and Peter Gregson headlining the evening.
NONCLASSICAL takes classical music and makes it sound like electronic or rock based music, changing the landscape of classical completely and making it something progressive and hip for the generations looking for a new sound.
DJ Mad Hatter will also be spinning at the event doing a remix set of Gabriel Prokofiev's "Concerto for Turntables."
NONCLASSICAL MKE will be held at Moct and begins at 8 p.m.
