Hopefully you can still hear music through your very scary mask, because the Milwaukee Radio Alliance went live – as in undead – with The Haunt FM, the first station devoted entirely to Halloween-themed music.
"Scary season is upon us and we noticed that no other station was embracing the spirit, or spirits, of the holiday," said Michelle Rutkowski, Programming Director, Milwaukee Radio Alliance. "I’m incredibly proud to have a huge hand in launching the first of what I hope will be many Halloween stations in the market."
Listeners in Milwaukee can tune into The Haunt FM on 100.3 and 100.7 in Racine. (Previously, these call numbers belonged to FONZ FM, but those who still want to listen to the hits of the 50s and 60s can do so via live stream by visiting fonzfmmke.com or on its original home AM 1290.)
The Haunt FM will spin hocusy-pocusy hits like “The Monster Mash,” “Purple People Eaters,” “Love Potion Number 9” and “Bela Lugosi's Dead.” Haunt FM airs through Halloween night – Thursday, Oct. 31.
“It’s wacky. It’s weird. Frankly, it’s pretty Milwaukee,” said Rutkowski. “Consider this your invitation to join us for a devilishly good time.”
