Third Coast Provisions delivers some of the city's best fare in an environment that's as beautiful as the food. When it opened in 2016, it made a name for itself with a focus on fresh, beautifully prepared seafood with locally sourced accompaniments.
And while seafood lovers can still enjoy some of the best fish dishes in the city at this Downtown restaurant, the menu has evolved to include an equally compelling selection of dishes featuring land-based proteins and locally sourced vegetables, many enhanced by globally-inspired preparations.
I’d still steer you towards items like fresh oysters with nuoc cham mignonette; inspired Oro King Salmon crudo and flavorful fish preparations. But I’d also encourage you to explore additional offerings like duck carnitas tacos with chili crema, chicharron and salsa macha; and filet mignon served au poivre with house frites and ramp aioli.
The Third Coast menu is also a pleasure if you love to share plates. A weeknight stop might include glasses of sparkling wine alongside grazeable items like green hummus; grilled oysters with pretzel-nduja butter; asparagus salad with cucumbers, peas, crispy rice, ranch dressing and Pleasant Ridge cheese; steak tartare; or lobster and crab potholes with sourdough bread.
