Looking to have a four-star 414 Day this year? Start your engines and wheel over to our second annual Milwaukee Day celebration, hosted once again at the Harley-Davidson Museum and MOTOR Bar & Restaurant on – when else? – Sunday, April 14.
Free for all to attend, the 414 Day fun will once again feature the official Milwaukee toast, raising everyone's glasses at – obviously – 4:14 p.m. as well as the return of the ultimate Brew City beef-off: the second annual burger eating competition, with multiple Cream City carnevors attempting to nosh their way through a special 4.14 lb. burger the size of the U.S. Bank Center in the hopes of winning sweet prizes as well as everyone's admiration (or horror, depending on how messily the meal disappears). If more than four pounds of meat on a plate is too much Milwaukee spirit to handle, MOTOR will also serve its quarter pound burgers for $4.14 on Sunday.
And to help wash all that tastiness down, the first attendees will get a pour of Lakefront Brewery Dive Bar until the keg runs out!
Elsewhere, whether you're wanting to dance off more than four pounds of burger or just wanting to move and groove for the special day, DJ Spunback will play hits throughout the festivities while The Skin Museum will ink up interested attendees over at the H-D Shop throughout the day. And for less permanent Milwaukee Day souvenirs, attendees will be able to score awesome giveaways throughout the party courtesy of fellow local icons like the upcoming Harley-Davidson Homecoming™ Festival, the Milwaukee Brewers, Milwaukee Admirals, the Wisconsin State Fair and Summerfest. Want to show off your Milwaukee knowledge, too? Quizmasters will have two sessions of Brew City-centric trivia to put your local love to the test during the day.
Here's the current tentative schedule of events planned for 414 Day next Sunday:
- 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. – Tattoos by The Skin Museum at the H-D Shop
- Noon – Milwaukee Trivia by Quizmaster in the Can Room
- 1-5 p.m. – DJ Spunback at MOTOR
- 1:30 p.m. – Milwaukee Trivia by Quizmaster in the Can Room
- 4:14 p.m. – Official 414 Day toast with Roscoe from the Milwaukee Admirals and more
- 5 p.m. – The 4.14 lb. Burger Eating competition at MOTOR
And that's all just the 414 Day festivities themselves. There's of course the H-D Museum and MOTOR itself, with the bar and restaurant open throughout the day from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. offering brunch, bloodies, burgers, and more. The museum itself will also be open from 10 a.m. through 5 p.m. – and best of all, the first 414 people to purchase admission to the museum will score those tickets for (brace yourself for one more area code reference) just $4.14. To buy yourself a magnificent Milwaukee Day gift, too, the H-D shop and H-D Factory Outlet will both be open from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
