Happy weekend, everyone – and happy ninth day of the Milwaukee Film Festival! And while we're now on the backside of the festival's run, the two-week cinema extravaganza is by no means running out of steam. They've still got "Parasite" to come! And "Marriage Story!" And "Atlantics!" And a panel featuring two of thee brilliant creative minds behind Netflix's award-winning "When They See Us!" And multiple screenings of the documentary about "Who Let the Dogs Out!" We've barely begun!
And in addition to those movies, you've also got my three picks for the day to see – ranging from the festival's centerpiece selection to a gorgeous martial arts film starring BLADED UMBRELLAS and a surreal trip to suburbia staring a kid turned into a dog, a baby soccer ball and a whole orthodontist office's worth of braces.
- "Chained for Life" screens at 6:30 p.m. at the Oriental Theatre
- "Shadow" screens at 8:45 p.m. at the Oriental Theatre
- "Greener Grass" screens at 9:30 p.m. at the Avalon

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
