We're almost running out of film festival – but we're not running out of great movies to see.
In fact, two weeks into the Milwaukee Film Festival, the event's just now busting out its crown jewel, its most anticipated movie on the schedule: "Parasite," Bong Joon-Ho's festival favorite about a rich family and poor family intertwining in ... complicated ways that's already garnered a ton of Oscar buzz, going as high as predictions for Best Director, Best Screenplay and, yes, Best Picture.
So yeah, that made my three to see for Day 14 – along with a big-budget disaster movie (bet you didn't expect that at a film festival!) and a much-anticipated horror flick.
Let's hear more:
- "Parasite" screens at 4:30 p.m. at the Oriental Theatre
- "The Quake" screens at 9:30 p.m. at the Oriental Theatre
- "The Lodge" screens at 10 p.m. at the Avalon

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
