It's Day 13 of the Milwaukee Film Festival. OK, that's a little ominous – but in this case, the number 13 is lucky because some of the best movies and events of the entire festival are set to screen today.
Today's three to see – plus some bonus commentary about the Brewers' alleged new logo, because hey only a 105 days until pitchers and catchers report! – includes a throwback screening complete with a star-studded family reunion, one of the most anticipated movies of the festival (if not the entire year) and one of my personal favorite movies of the festival thus far. Spoiler alert: It features a sentient severed hand.
Here are my three movies to see on Day 13 of the Milwaukee Film Festival:
- "Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me" screens at 6:15 p.m. at the Oriental Theatre (with the afterparty/Palmer family reunion with stars Sheryl Lee and Ray Wise hosted at 9:30 p.m. at Good City Brewing's East Side location)
- "Marriage Story" screens at 6:45 p.m. at the Jan Serr Studio Cinema
- "I Lost My Body" screens at 7 p.m. at the Avalon

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
